词汇，是英文学习中，必须克服的第一关。备考AEIS考试阶段，词汇的学习可分为两个层次：应切实掌握一批高频出现的基本词语的用法，包括多种释义、多种词性和多种搭配。要特别重视练习中出现的动词，了 解其用法；对近义词进行辨析，了解意义和用法上的区别。

　　因此，核心词汇才是AEIS考试的关键所在。学习词汇有一些窍门。有的同学喜欢按照词汇表来背单词，实际上这种方法并不科学。词汇表上的单词按字母顺序排列，上一个词和下一个词没有什么联系。

　　1. look like用法

　　① He looks like a girl.

　　看起来像；与…相似

　　② It looks like rain.

　　2. look for用法

　　① He began to look for a new job？

　　3. look out 用法

　　① Look out! There's car coming.

　　留神；当心；警惕；注意

　　(房间等)面向，面对(常与 into， on， upon 等连用)

　　① I will look after her child when she is on a business trip.

　　5. look forward to用法

　　① He has been looking forward to going to England for a long time.

　　6. look through用法
